Lauren Gunderson’s Silent Sky is a luminous drama exploring the true story of Henrietta Leavitt, a pioneering female astronomer. Hired as a human “computer” at Harvard Observatory in the early 1900s and forbidden from using the telescope, Henrietta refused to be kept in the margins. Her groundbreaking discoveries forever changed our understanding of the universe. Blending humor, romance, and scientific triumph, this uplifting play is a beautiful tribute to the unsung women who measured the cosmos.
